Affiliate Program - Frequently Asked Questions

An affiliate program is a revenue sharing program where an affiliate (you) receives a portion of income (commission) for delivering sales to a merchant website (Char4U). As an Affiliate, you'll be authorized to place text or banner links on your website, share text links and coupon code to friends via email or social media sites to direct customers to Char4U.com. Each and every sale generated from you will result in commission earned.

Signing up to the Char4u affiliate program is 100% free. If you decide that the program is not right for you, you can cancel at any time with no obligation or risk.

With or without a website, you have to be an adult (legal age of consent worldwide) to join the affiliate program. By filling out the affiliate signup form you will become a Char4U affiliate. We do review your application before it is approved.

After signing up for the program you will receive an unique affiliate url which you will use to advertise our website. When someone clicks through this url, a cookie will be set in their browser with your affiliate ID. During that visit to our website or any later visit, when a purchase is made the commission will be given based on the existence of the cookie. You will also be provided with an unique coupon code. When someone makes a purchase using this coupon code, the commission will also be given. Use of the affiliate coupon code will automatically dis-activate the affiliate link cookie, and in this case only the coupon code generated affiliate commission is counted.

You may use graphic and text links both on your website, social media sites and in emails. Char4U may also be advertised "offline" in classified ads, magazines, and newspapers. You may use the graphics and text provided to you by Char4U, or you may create your own as long as they are deemed appropriate.

Char4U pays affiliate commissions only through PayPal. If you don't already have one it's easy to set up and, what's more, it's FREE to join PayPal.

You will be paid commissions for every sale generated from your affiliate link or coupon code. For our default affiliate program, this commission will be 10% of the final purchase price. For our Chinese chops program, this commission will be 25% of the final purchase price.

Approximately 60 days following the end of each month, we will send the referral fees earned during that month through PayPal with a minimum required commission value of $25.00 for payment. All commissions under $25 will roll forward to the following month. We have a generous 60-day return policy. The 60 day payment period allows us to calculate and subtract any returned sales. If a customer you referred to us made a sale and returned the item within 60 days, that amount will be deducted from your commissions.

Yes, you can monitor sales, earned commissions and other information from within your affiliate account.

The default affiliate program is not listed in the "My Programs" section. And you can't opt in or out of the default affiliate affiliate programs. Other programs will be there.
